Band Lessons week of March 30th

Dear Band,

I hope you are doing well! This week I am changing things up a little bit on Classroom and on the blog.

First, I am sharing daily video check ins! Our first one is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V4-Nd8piWg0OZ4b1ihcvJBiCEYphxmbh/view?usp=sharing

Second, we will still be posting an "all instruments" video, but I am adding more tools to the mix. A program called "Smart Music" is offering free subscriptions to schools. It is an excellent resource and approved for the district. As soon as they get me the login information (they are swamped right now with requests) I will be sharing it with you!

Also, in addition to the all instruments lessons, I am going to be posting short videos on music reading.

Finally, a HUGE request for help! It is possible we will have to do our 5th grade band recruitment virtually this year! I am looking for a volunteer on each instrument to make a video about why they like their instrument and why they like band. The videos should be short (about 2 minutes each).

I will be putting your videos into a complete video presentation for the 4th grade students and parents. I will create an optional ungraded assignment in classroom where you can submit these if you are interested!

Good luck and have a great week.

Mr. A
